Field Coordinator

Summary

The Field Coordinator provides critical support to 5 Bars Services LLC, a Telecom and Utility Construction Company. This position is responsible for facilitating communication and coordination of project details with customers, construction crews, subcontractors, and municipal representatives. The Field Coordinator will work directly with Construction Supervisors to assist in the successful execution of tasks within the telecommunications construction space.

Responsibilities

  • Travel daily to job locations in Waco and surrounding areas to oversee and coordinate construction activities.

  • Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects from inception to completion.

  • Coordinate project schedules, resources, equipment, and information to ensure timely delivery.

  • Communicate with clients, subcontractors, crew members, and municipal officials to ensure project requirements are understood and met.

  • Handle customer complaints and act as the first point of contact for city officials to resolve issues before involving senior leadership.

  • Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with safety standards, right-of-way (ROW) rules, and city-specific regulations.

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schematics, estimates, reports, and job progress updates.

  • Ensure construction crews and subcontractors meet quality standards as defined by 5 Bars and customer expectations.

  • Collect information and provide clear, actionable instructions to subcontractors.

  • Perform physical tasks such as rolling footage, placing door hangers, moving equipment, and counting inventory to support project completion.

Skills and Requirements

  • Knowledge of Underground Construction:

    • Ability to comprehend and interpret technical prints and KMZs.

    • Familiarity with ROW rules and safety standards.

    • Understanding of city-specific regulations and ability to enforce compliance among crews and subcontractors.

  • Strong customer service skills to manage complaints and maintain professional communication with municipal representatives and clients.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are a plus.

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be comfortable with using laptops, tablets, and other technological devices, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other Office 365 tools.

  • Valid Class A Driver’s License required.

  • Must pass pre-employment screening, including background and drug tests.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk, move equipment, and perform physical tasks such as rolling footage, placing door hangers, and counting inventory.

Work Schedule and Compensation

  • Hours: This is a full-time, salaried position, with expected hours of 40 per week. The role requires flexibility, including weekends and extended hours during city builds.

  • Pay: $50,000 – $60,000 based on experience.
