Yard Coordinator and Field Support

Summary
5 Bars Services LLC, a Telecom and Utility Construction Company, is seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to manage operations at a designated material yard and assist the Field Coordinator. This dual-role position ensures the efficient management of materials, inventory, and yard operations while supporting field coordination tasks for telecom and utility construction projects.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment. While this position focuses on managing material & equipment yard, the individual will also support field operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Material Yard Management (Primary Focus)
· Oversee daily operations of a designated material yard to ensure smooth workflows.
· Operate a forklift to load, unload, and organize materials safely and efficiently.
· Manage inventory by tracking materials entering and leaving the yard and conducting regular inventory checks.
· Maintain accurate records of materials and ensure supplies are available to meet project demands.
· Keep the yard clean, organized, and safe for operations.
· Receive and inspect deliveries for quality and accuracy.
· Communicate with supervisors and team members to fulfill material needs for construction projects.
Field Coordination Assistance
· Perform physical tasks such as moving equipment, rolling footage, and collecting data, and photos of work completed.
· Assist with communication between subcontractors, clients, and team members to ensure project requirements are met.
· Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with safety standards, right-of-way (ROW) rules, and local regulations.
Skills and Requirements
· Forklift Experience: Required; certification is a plus.
· Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage inventory effectively.
· Physical Ability: Able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions.
· Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel) and familiarity with inventory management systems.
· Dependability: Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work independently.
· Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, and team members.
· Knowledge of Underground Construction: Ability to comprehend technical prints and ROW rules is a plus.
· Must pass pre-employment screening, including background and drug tests.
· Must be local to the Waco area and able to commute to yard locations and project sites.
Work Schedule and Compensation
· Pay Rate: $20/hour
· Hours: Full-time position, with potential for overtime as needed.
